Learn Korean: Asking In A Hospital In Korean
Let's conquer the art of asking for help in a Korean hospital with some useful phrases and vocabulary. 'Jeung-sang' refers to a symptom you're experiencing. Need some medication? 'Yak' is the Korean word for medicine. If it's urgent, you'll need the 'eunggeup-sil', or emergency room. Describe your '-'-sang by saying, "My head hurts" which is "Mori apeuda." Notice we haven't used 'jeung' directly here, keeping it natural. To ask for pain relievers, you could say, "Tongjeung '-'-yak juseyo" meaning "Pain '-'-yak, please". After seeing a doctor, you'll receive a 'cheobang-jeon' or prescription. Furthermore, asking "Where is the emergency room?" translates to "Eunggeup-sil '-'- eodi-eyo?". You can then take your '-'-bang-jeon to a pharmacy. So there you have it - useful vocabulary to navigate a Korean hospital. Stay tuned for more helpful lessons!
